Natural gas engines – the big growth market for Emission Partner
It is not only the German electricity market that is facing a turnaround. Electricity is no longer generated centrally in large power plants by the electricity companies, but is instead generated decentrally by mainly private operators for their own use or fed into the grid.
By 2030, another 50 gigawatts of electricity capacity that is currently generated in coal-fired power plants will certainly be taken off the grid. This output must be replaced because the demand for electricity will not decrease in the future. This is where the many decentralized combined heat and power plants come in, which only produce electricity when the renewable energy sources of wind and sun take a break. Their advantage is that they are “on the grid” faster than the large power plants, meaning they can react more quickly to supply and demand and also produce heat that can be used in the connected homes, businesses or greenhouses.
For all these engines, Emission Partner supplies not only the necessary catalytic converters for exhaust gas aftertreatment but also, if required, complete exhaust systems for combined heat and power plants consisting of catalytic converters, exhaust gas heat exchangers and silencers.
