Diesel particulate filter
The particle filters used by Emission Partner consist of a ceramic honeycomb structure through which the exhaust gases flow. The particles are filtered by the forced flow through the porous channel walls of the filter substrate. The square channels are alternately closed. The special channel structure and the thin partition walls result in a very high filter surface area. This results in optimum utilization of the reaction surface for the oxidation of the soot particles as well as a high storage capacity for ash residues.
A cordierite substrate is used as the system’s filter medium. The filter substrate is provided with a catalytic coating of precious metals and a highly active washcoat, which enables independent, passive regeneration at exhaust gas temperatures of 300 °C and above.
Depending on the application, the particle filters are combined with silencers. Bypass dampers and their controls are also needed depending on the requirements. We have developed our own Emission Partner control systems for this purpose.
The systems are adapted to different applications and performance classes via the number of particle filters.
