Agrarservice Lass GmbH - MWM

Success is no accident! For family entrepreneur Martin Lass, a trusting and cooperative partnership with customers and suppliers is paramount.

‘It all started with the construction of our own biogas plant in 2009,’ reports Martin Lass, Managing Director of Agrarservice Lass GmbH, from Schleswig-Holstein. In order to operate the biogas plant successfully, many cogs have to mesh together, because the centrepiece of every biogas plant, the combined heat and power plant, in particular, ensures economic success through optimally coordinated maintenance measures.

In order to pass on this experience to other biogas plant operators, Martin Lass founded Agrarservice Lass GmbH in 2012. Since 2013, the company has specialised in servicing MWM and is an official service and sales partner of Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH (formerly MWM) in the Schleswig-Holstein region as well as in northern Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. ‘The top priority of our philosophy is a trusting and cooperative partnership with our customers, as this is the only way to establish a successful long-term business relationship,’ says Lass, explaining his company.

The business relationship with Emission Partner began with the new regulation of the emission reduction bonus in autumn 2017 and the associated reduction of the formaldehyde limit value from 40 mg/Nm³ to 20 mg/Nm³. ‘The emission reduction bonus is essential for the profitability of a biogas plant and immediately after the new limit values were published, there was a great deal of uncertainty among our customers,’ remembers Lass and adds, ’In Emission Partner, we found a partner who immediately convinced us with its expertise and many years of experience in the field of catalyst technology. Thanks to the in-house production of all catalytic converters, we were always able to deliver at very short notice, which was extremely important up to the deadline of 1 July 2018.’

‘All catalytic converters were able to comply with the new limit value in the emission measurement and formaldehyde values of less than 10 mg/Nm³ were achieved almost exclusively. We are very satisfied with this result and the convincing advice and we look forward to working together as partners in the future,’ summarises Technical Manager Patrick Schröter.
